| "Build a Little Birdhouse in Your Soul." - They Might be Giants |
Teaching at the University of Northern Colorado this year
has allowed me to reflect on my own college career and
how easily one can abandon one path for another without
ever looking back. I was one semester away from
graduating when I took my first metal class as an elective
and even though I was a newlywed and pregnant with my
first baby, I opted to stay in school another year to finish
with a concentration in Metal. I have never looked back,
until now. My sketchbook is boiling over with images that
just can't be made into metal and I need to give them
some attention. I'm also taking a sabbatical from
wholesale, so it's a good time to welcome the new year
and allow the painter out.
